Since its debut in 2015, Love Island has been pushing the boundaries of reality television and shaking things up with its cheeky tone, uncensored content and heart-pounding drama.
The sizzling summer series quickly gathered an audience of around three million obsessed viewers — including superfans Margot Robbie, Millie Bobby Brown and Chrissy Teigen, to name a few — who rabidly tuned in each night to witness the ups and downs of young singles in pursuit of finding love and forming lifelong friendships.
The cult hit crossed the pond to the US in 2019 where it aired on CBS for three seasons, and on July 19, Love Island USA recouples with Peacock where it will stream exclusively and mirror the titillating and slightly explicit format of the UK original. From bed-hopping to naughty games and uncensored scenes, Love Island USA is a summer must-watch!

What is the basic premise?
Consider Love Island a mashup of Bachelor in Paradise where singles looking for love, meets Big Brother, where all the cast members live and compete under the same roof.
On this show the ‘Islanders’ hope to find connections and win a big ‘ol cash prize, too.
But unlike other dating competitions, Love Island’s viewing audience gets to play cupid and has a say in the contestants’ destiny.
The series is filmed in real time rather than months in advance — making the dating misadventures of the show’s sexy singles even more entertaining to watch.
When does Love Island USA air?
Get ready for the hot dates: The show starts streaming on Peacock on Tuesday, July 19 at 9PM EST/6 PM PST. New episodes will drop daily (Tuesday – Sunday) for six weeks.
This season, Islanders will be shacking up in a spacious villa located on the coast of sunny California.
Peacock’s revamped American version will be similar in tone to the British franchise, with Scottish comedian, Iain Stirling reprising his role from Love Island UK and narrating the US edition with his famous humor, irreverence and wry commentary.
Modern Family star Sarah Hyland will take over as host. This will be the brunette beauty’s first turn hosting a series like Love Island USA, but she’s no stranger to reality TV; she’s even engaged to Bachelor in Paradise bartender Wells Adams.
Peacock’s revamped American version will be hosted by award-winning actress Sarah Hyland
The show premieres on July 19 and runs until August 28. New episodes will drop daily, Tuesday – Sunday for six weeks

How are the Islanders eliminated?
To remain on the show, cast members have to couple up to win the hearts of their peers (Islander vote) plus the viewing audience (public vote).
Whether the perfect match is made by chemistry or strategy, contestants must be coupled up to stay in the villa.
Relationships are tested while pulses and tensions rise and new bombshells join the cast throughout the season.
These attractive alternatives drop into the setup in the hope of getting their graft on and often will steal the chance to take someone they’ve had their eye on (regardless of their relationship status) on a date!
Contestants have the opportunity to stay committed to their chosen partner or move on to greener pastures and recouple.
But finding the perfect match does come with losses, too: Anyone who is left single at the end of the recoupling ceremony has to leave the Island.
How do contestants spend their time?
Not every season features the same challenges, but when Islanders are not lounging by the pool, keeping it tight at the villa’s gym, flexing their culinary skills in the kitchen, or having a ‘chat,’ they can be found participating in a series of temptation-testing games and challenges while under 24-hour surveillance.
Past seasons’ games and challenges have included truth or dare, kissing booths, and lie detector tests, all designed to stir things up, get pulses racing, and create juicy drama.
Sweet dreams or a nightmare waiting to happen… the contestants all sleep in the same room where each couple shares their own bed.
What are they all actually competing for?
Couples that haven’t been voted off or tempted by new contestants are in the running to become America’s favorite couple.
In addition to the chance of finding love, there’s a $100,000 cash prize up for grabs for the winning duo.
After the king and queen are crowned, they’re each handed an envelope, one holds $100,000…the other one is empty.
And here’s where the true test comes into play as the person with the bank decides whether they want to share it with their partner or take it all.
Download the Love Island app in the App Store or on Google Play to be a part of all the twists and turns.
Send two cuties on a date, save your fave duo from elimination, or start trouble for the show’s overly confident bad boy — the power is in your hands!
The viewing public also votes to decide which solo contestant will get another shot at a love connection.
Want to play matchmaker? Tune in as Love Island USA premieres tomorrow July 19th at 9PM EST only on Peacock, with new episodes every Tuesday through Sunday.
